We believe it should be easy to charge your EV. Therefore, we let you choose how you want to start and pay for charging at our charging stations. You can charge your EV with an RFID card or tag or app from several e-mobility service providers, or you can choose one of our simple drop-in services.

Drop-in QR
You don’t need to pre-register to use our drop-in solutions to charge your EV. Online card payment is activated via a QR code at the charging station. All you need is a smartphone and a valid debit card. If you don’t have a camera on your phone, you can follow the instructions at pay.chargedrive.com. You will find EVSID next to the charging cable.
For drop-in card payment, we place a reservation for withdrawal on your card when you charge (NOK 500, SEK 500, or €50 depending on the country). When you finish charging, the amount is refunded.
Our charging tips for using a drop-in QR code:
- You can easily use your web browser to retrieve and use the payment details stored on your mobile.
- If you leave the website while you are charging, you can easily find your way back to your current charging session by going to pay.chargedrive.com.
- Some charging stations go into pause mode if it takes too long from when you connect the cable to your vehicle until the station receives a start command from the browser. If the charging station goes into pause mode, you may want to put the cable back into the charging station and follow the instructions again.
Step 1
Plug in the connector.
Step 2
Hold your mobile phone camera over the QR code at the charge point.
Step 3
Follow the instructions on your mobile. You will be taken to a secure website where you enter your card details and accept our terms and conditions. At some of the charging stations, you must also press start on the screen/display.
Step 4
To finish charging, follow the instructions in your browser and/or on the charging station.

Most of our e-mobility service providers offer charging with an app. The charging procedure varies between the apps. Contact your e-mobility service provider for more information. We do not offer our own charging app.
Our charging tips for using apps
- Check that you have a valid payment solution in the app.
- Make sure the number and letter on the charging station and in the app are the same before you start charging.
- Some charging stations go into pause mode if it takes too long from when you connect the cable to your vehicle until the station receives a start command from the app. If the charging station goes into pause mode, you may want to put the cable back into the charging station and follow the instructions again.
Step 1
Open the app. Check that you are registered, you have a valid payment method and that you are logged in to the app.

Find the charging point you are at in the app and select the correct charging station. The charging station has a number at the charge point, and you will see the same number in the app.

Follow the instructions in the app. At some charging stations, you must also click start on the screen/display before you can start charging.
Step 5
To finish charging, follow the instructions in the app.
